[Total: 1    Average: 5/5]

Hosted by TMC & Dark (Utah MTB)

On today’s show TMC & Dark discuss if GMO Foods are safe to eat? GMO is any organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. The hazards they can cause to all life forms.  Scientists and consumer and environmental groups have cited many health and environmental risks with foods containing GMOs.

Show Notes

How Dangerous Are GM Foods? (Video)

Genetically Modified foods are disturbingly commonplace – and we don’t always know when we’re eating them. With so many dangerous side effects observed in GM foods, and with insufficient testing of the long-term impact of these artificial foods, can we be sure that GM foods are safe?

Google Search – Are GMO foods Safe (Bullshit Alert)

This is a Google search for “are GMO Foods Safe’ the results tend to be manipulated so that the results in favor of GMO are set heavily toward the top, don’t trust any main stream site or government site they will tell you what they want you to repeat and it’s a lie!

The Debate About GMO Safety Is Over, Thanks To A New Trillion-Meal Study (Bullshit Alert)

Although there have been more than 2,000 studies documenting that biotechnology does not pose an unusual threat to human health and genetically modified foods are as safe or safer than conventional or organic foods, questions remain in the minds of many consumers.

What You Need to Know About GMOs (Bullshit Alert)

A 2015 survey by the Pew Research Center shows this divide. Nearly 9 out of 10 scientists from the American Association for the Advancement of Science say GMOs are “generally safe” to eat. Though if you’re like more than half of U.S. adults from the general public in that same survey, you think you probably shouldn’t eat them.

Frequently asked questions on genetically modified foods (Bullshit Alert)

One of the objectives for developing plants based on GM organisms is to improve crop protection. The GM crops currently on the market are mainly aimed at an increased level of crop protection through the introduction of resistance against plant diseases caused by insects or viruses or through increased tolerance towards herbicides.

Is Genetically Modified Foods Safe To Eat (Bullshit Alert)

You’ve heard industry say, for example, that there is no evidence that these foods are harmful. After all, people in the United States have been eating them for several years now. Do you believe that statement? Isn’t it a bit disingenuous? How would we know if someone had gotten ill from genetically engineered food if it’s not labeled? How could there be evidence if they haven’t allowed the food to be labeled? They’re now saying, “Well, there’s no evidence of harm.” But that is because they haven’t allowed any way to track any harm.

10 studies proving GMOs are harmful? Not if science matters

The blog post sites a 2010 study that alleges to show this danger. The authors identified the Bt protein Cry1Ab in maternal and fetal blood, a protein found in some GMOs, but also commonly used as a pesticide in organic farming. The paper is flawed. The researchers’ measurements were based on an experiment/assay designed to detect Bt’s Cry1Ab in plants, not in humans. As this post in explains, the pregnant women in the study would have had to eat several kilos of corn in order to get the Bt measurements that were detected in their blood.

About Genetically Engineered Foods

Currently, up to 92% of U.S. corn is genetically engineered (GE), as are 94% of soybeans and 94% of cotton [1] (cottonseed oil is often used in food products). It has been estimated that upwards of 75% of processed foods on supermarket shelves – from soda to soup, crackers to condiments – contain genetically engineered ingredients.

Joe Atman with the Riohc Choir – Walls –  Artist of the Day

His strong and unique vocals with impeccable songwriting chops, flows perfectly throughout the entire CD. The songs are all top notch with great arrangements while having crafted very accessible lyrics and words on all of (Joe) Atman’s songs, let alone the main singles (Moon-Sabled Nights, Cats, Sunshine When It Rains (along with Arrest Me)) being to worked to radio starting this week. Hi piano playing is reminiscent of Ben Folds (Ben Folds Five).

Avengers actor Mark Ruffalo is aggressively fighting the Bayer, Monsanto merger

(NaturalNews) Bayer and Monsanto are facing some tough opposition in their quest to get their merger cleared by antitrust regulators. A number of concerned environmental groups are putting up a fight, but one of the most vocal detractors comes in the form of the Incredible Hulk.

Did McDonald’s pay Kanye West to try to make toxic food cool?

(NaturalNews) The release of singer Frank Ocean’s latest album a few days ago was accompanied by the publication of a magazine that included a poem by Kanye West – a poem about McDonald’s food. The magazine, entitled Boys Don’t Cry, is a glossy publication featuring text and photos along with West’s poem, The McDonald’s Man, which contains such immortal lines as “The French Fries Had A Plan, The Salad Bar And The Ketchup Made A Band” – leaving some wondering if McDonald’s had a plan to use West’s celebrity status as a marketing tool.

NY Times admits obesity linked to many cancers

(NaturalNews) A review of more than a thousand studies that was conducted by a working group of the International Agency for Research on Cancer, part of the World Health Organization, has found that obesity is linked to at least 13 different types of cancer. An article published by The New York Times reveals quite a bit about the data; however, one thing is missing: the nutritional aspect of obesity.

Organic cattle being pumped full of GMO vaccines

(NaturalNews) We must act to maintain the integrity of organic standards! Action Alert! The semiannual meeting of the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) will take place April 25–27 in Washington, DC. Because the NOSB makes decisions that, in large part, determine the future of organic foods (it’s the advisory board for the National Organic Program, or NOP), ANH-USA has been engaged with the board for some time.

  1. Anyone with a backyard garden or even large scale farmers should look into the Back to Eden gardening method. It’s all about the mulch; mimicking the natural cycle of nature by protecting and fertilizing the root zone of the plants. Plus, you can eliminate roto-tilling. You should never roto-till a garden. It destroys the biological structure just below ground level that takes years to establish.

I sold my roto-tiller because after two years of tilling my garden the soil turned into a wasteland. Just a few days after it would rain the ground becomes hard as a rock and nothing can grow in it. I found a video on YouTube explains the reasons why you should not till a garden and I’m a firm believer in this.

Using the Back to Eden method has made a huge difference in crop quality and yield with no pesticides or chemical fertilizers. I only use cow manure. Some people let chickens roam through their garden to help fertilize and eat the bad bugs.

All natural, no GMO for me.
